Tunng celebrate an extra day off with trippy new single "Bank Holiday"
Tunng have shared new single "Bank Holiday" from their This Is Tunng... Magpie Bites and Other Cuts compilation.
"Bank Holiday" follows on from earlier single "Heatwave", which both feature on Tunng's upcoming compilation of rarities and B-sides.
Speaking about the single, the band explains, "It's a song about a guy who is supposed to be spending a nice day with his girlfriend onher birthday, which happens to fall on a bank holiday. Itstarts badly when he tries tomake her breakfast in bed but he burns the toast and it goes downhill from there.Hastily assembled plans to redeem himself with a posh night out are laid to waste bythe local cash machine having run out of money and they areleft to wander the streetswith the bank holiday booze wobblers."
As well as B-sides and rarities, the compilation features bonus singles and oddities from 2004-2008.
