tUnE-yArDs' Nate Brenner announces second record as Naytronix
Naytronix - Nate Brenner of alt. pop outfit tUnE-yArDs - has announced his second reccord, Mr. Divine, and shared its lead single, "Mister Divine".
It follows 2012 debut Dirty Glow, and was recorded/written/conceived while living on the road with various projects. Inspired by the likes of William Onyeabor, Khaira Arby, Dizzy K and Bootsy Collins, the '70s-flecked psych-pop that Brenner offers is a reflection of his time on the road, absorbing people, places and sounds from every corner of time and Earth.
It was written and recorded with Mark Allen-Piccolo and Robert Lopez, with help from Oberlin Conservatory family members Matt Nelson and Noah Bernstein (tUnE-yArDs sax) and Beep!'s Michael Coleman.
City Slang will release Mr. Divine on 16 October.
