Troye Sivan and Sigur Rós' Jónsi team up for Boy Erased movie track "Revelation"
Pop star Troye Sivan collaborates with Jónsi from Sigur Rós on "Revelation" for upcoming Boy Erased movie.
Australia and Iceland meet in the middle for a heatfelt ballad to accompany the forthcoming Boy Erased movie.
Stereogum reported that Troye Sivan explained the track in more detail when performing the track live for the first time, “Joel [director] showed us a scene from the movie, and I don’t want to spoil anything, but it’s this one moment of relief in the film. He has that experience and the sky doesn’t fall down on him. The world doesn’t come crashing down, and it’s a ‘revelation’ to him. That person that he was with is a revolution to him, and it was just so inspiring.”
Boy Erased is based on Garrard Conley's 2016 memoir with the same name.
The synopsis on IMDB states, "The son of a Baptist preacher is forced to participate in a church-supported gay conversion program after being forcibly outed to his parents."
Troye Sivan revealed his stunning Bloom album earlier this year, which we described as an "exceptional pop album".
Last week Sivan also appeared on the new Charli XCX track "1999".
