Troye Sivan and Gordi reunite on Three Months song "Wait"
Troye Sivan has reunited with fellow Australian artist Gordi on his new Three Months film track "Wait".
Yesterday (23 February) Troye Sivan's new film Three Months was released. The film, directed by Jared Frieder, sees Sivan play a Florida teen called Caleb who gets exposed to HIV at the end of high school.
After delivering Jay Som collaboration "Trouble" earlier this month, Sivan has unveiled his second original song from the Three Months soundtrack, titled "Wait". The new song sees Sivan reunite with Gordi for the first time since 2018's "Postcard", which featured on Sivan's Bloom album.
Stereogum reports that Gordi said of the collaboration, "I love collaborating with Troye. He has this unique way of speaking in images that we then try and translate into melody and lyrics. Our instincts with songwriting really seem to align and after our work on "Postcard", I was excited to have another chance to work together. He told me all about Three Months and said he wanted to write an original song for it. As a proud member of the queer community, I felt a deep connection to the film. We wanted to write a song that was worthy of the story."
