Tricky announces new album, links with Marta for lead single "Fall Please"
Tricky is back with news of his next album Fall To Pieces, and has teamed up with regular collaborator Marta for the lead single "Fall Please".
"Fall Please" is Tricky's first new outing since releasing his 20,20 EP that landed in March. It's also his first collaboration with frequent collaborator Marta since "Hate This Pain" dropped with his 20,20 EP.
Tricky says of his new single, "With most of my stuff, there’s nothing else like it around, but with "Fall Please" I’ve managed to do something I’ve never been able to before, which is that everyone can feel it - even people who don’t know my music. It’s my version of pop music, the closest I’ve got to making pop."
Fall To Pieces will follow on from Tricky's 2017 LP Ununiform.
He recorded the album from his Berlin studio in late 2019, and a large portion of the tracks feature Marta Złakowska. He says of Marta, "I can tell when someone is humble and down to earth. Marta doesn't care about being famous, she just wants to sing."
