Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross reveal new material for Banksy’s latest project
Banksy’s newest project, The Walled Off Hotel, is set in the West Bank city of Bethlehem. Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have revealed their new track to accompany the artist's tale.
"Green Lines" sees the two NIN members take a more mellow tone. The progressive piano is calm, collected yet ominous, dwelling on the low-notes to intensify the darker undertones. Although sinister, Reznor and Ross certainly manage to slip into the goosebump-worthy sound.
The almost-delicate twinkles of the piano add a sense of urgency to the otherwise slow-burner, making it an almost definite miss when guessing who’s behind this sophisticated soundtrack.
Having revealed their collaboration with the anonymous artist Banksy, Reznor and Ross also unveiled that "Green Lines" is "created arrangements of old and new material".
Banksy’s The Walled Off Hotel will feature other original compositions from Flea, Hans Zimmer, Massive Attack’s 3D, and more.
