Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to score new David Fincher film Mank
Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have confirmed they're scoring the forthcoming David Fincher film Mank.
Reznor and Ross previously scored Fincher's 2010 film The Social Network, 2011's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and 2014's Gone Girl.
Gary Oldman will star as Herman Mankiewicz, Mank's lead role. IMDB's synopsis of the new film reads: "Follows screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz's tumultuous development of Orson Welles' iconic 1941 movie Citizen Kane."
Speaking to Revolver about their forthcoming Mank soundtrack, Reznor said, "We're not gonna be using the modular synthesizer on that one. We think we're gonna be period authentic, so it just creates a new set of challenges."
In the same interview, Reznor revealed that Nine Inch Nails are planning to make a collaborative album.
Back in October, Nine Inch Nails were included in the nominees list for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2020.
