The track is dropping on Friday (21 August), and in a recent interview with GQ, Scott said of the film, "I can't even explain it. You literally just have to watch it. It's very fire."
Tenet director Christopher Nolan said of Scott, "His voice became the final piece of a year-long puzzle. His insights into the musical and narrative mechanism [composer] Ludwig Göransson and I were building were immediate, insightful, and profound."
Nolan's upcoming film will be the first that he's directed and written since 2017's Dunkirk.
In the same GQ interview, Scott also revealed that he's been working on a collaborative album with Kid Cudi.
"The Plan" will be Scott's first single since featuring on Kanye West's "Wash Us In The Blood" track in June.
