Tove Lo shares new track "I'm Coming", an English cover of Veronica Maggio's "Jag Kommer"
Tove Lo has released fresh track "I'm Coming" today, which is an English version of Veronica Maggio's "Jag Kommer".
The Swedish singer/songwriter revealed her plans to release a new track earlier this week. She wrote that she's "slowly losing my mind" and hasn't "left the house since I got back from London last week."
When announcing the track, Tove Lo didn't disclose the title or any information about the release. Last night (19 March), Tove Lo revealed that it's an English take on Veronica Maggio's "Jag Kommer" track.
She wrote on Instagram, "This is a special one for me because it’s my English cover of one of my all time favorite Swedish songs, Jag Kommer, by badass queen Veronica Maggio. It’s the soundtrack to so many of my memories."
Tove Lo adds, "I’ve always been so impressed with Veronica’s way with words. I could never write in Swedish the way she can. It’s the perfect mix of poetic, "everyday romance" and making the Swedish summer time feel epic and melancholic all at once. I hope my translation does it justice Veronica."
