Toothless announces new EP of reworks and airs "Kairos/The Sun's Midlife Crisis"
Toothless has announced a new EP of reworks and is sharing a pared-back edition of "Kairos/The Sun's Midlife Crisis".
Palm's EP is the follow up to debut record The Pace Of The Passing, and sees a clutch of those album songs transformed. It also boasts a rendition of Sufjan Stevens' "The Dress Looks Nice On You" and a new track titled "Chasing Godot".
Toothless' latest preview of the short-player is actually two tracks - "Kairos" and "The Sun's Midlife Crisis" if you hadn't guessed - stripped for parts and then strapped back together. It's breezy and bare with a sense of ethereal freedom weaving around each deft strum.
Toothless - aka Bombay Bicycle Club's Ed Nash - says of the release: "About this time last year me and some friends soundproofed the breezeblock shed at the back of my garden to use as a rehearsal and recording studio. Up until this point all the writing I had done for Toothless had taken place in my living room or other peoples more professional rooms. Since then with the new space, I’ve spent my time working on my production skills, experimenting with new sounds and generally enjoying making music. This EP is the result of that time."
