Tool contribute signed kitchen sink to Ronnie James Dio Cancer Fund benefit auction
As part of the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund benefit auction, Tool have contributed a wild one-of-a-kind piece of memorabilia - a signed kitchen sink!
The benefit auction has a variety of rock memorabilia including a limited-edition Les Paul with the artwork from Dio’s Holy Diver LP, guitars autographed by Lita Ford, Nancy Wilson of Heart, John 5, Avenged Sevenfold, Motörhead, and Slash, and more.
Dio's Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund will be auctioning off one very unique item - a stainless steel kitchen sink signed by all four members of Tool.
Consequence of Sound reports that a press release stated, "Tool members are generally reluctant to sign items to donate. However, when presented with ‘the kitchen sink’ and a good cause, they couldn’t resist."
The band's reluctance to sign items such as guitars isn't unprovoked, as earlier this month an entire pallet of limited edition Les Paul guitars designed by Tool guitarist Adam Jones were stolen from the back of a truck in Indiana.
