Tom Waits & Keith Richards team up for Johnny Depp pirate-themed compilation
If we told you that Johnny Depp was curating a pirate-themed compilation album, Tom Waits and Rolling Stones man Keith Richards are two artists you’d assume would be involved, such is their drunk-on-rum-on-a-boat demeanour.
And guess what, you’d presume true, as the pair team up for this new record, entitled Son of Rogue’s Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys.
The two-CD comp is due on Waits’ label, Anti-, come 19 February 2013.
Also involved are the likes of Patti Smith,Iggy Pop, Macy Gray, Michael Stipe and Broken Social Scene.
