Tom Odell announced BRITs Critics Choice award winner
Singer-songwriter Tom Odell has been announced the winner of the BRITs Critics Choice award.
Odell beat fellow nominees Laura Mvula and AlunaGeorge when he was unveiled the winner last night (19 December).
The accolade represents who the judges deem to be an act to watch out for over the next 12 months.
The BRIT Awards ceremony proper will be held on Wednesday 20 February 2013 at London’s O2 Arena, with James Corden hosting the night for the third year running.
For the first time, the trophy statue will be designed by Damien Hirst, following on from Sir Peter Blake’s design in 2012, and Vivienne Westwood’s in 2011.
More info on the event can be found here.
