Tom Jones releases new single "No Hole In My Head"
Tom Jones is back with a rework of Malvina Reynolds' "No Hole In My Head", which arrives as the second taster of his forthcoming album Surrounded By Time.
After announcing Surrounded By Time with a reimagined version of Todd Snider's "Talking Reality Television Blues" earlier this month, Jones has returned with a second preview of his first studio album in over five years.
This time he's reworked Malvina Reynolds' "No Hole In My Head", which is accompanied by a video that sees Jones and others being interrogated.
Jones says of the track, "This song is powerful at any age. It’s about having confidence in who you are. Particularly during this time of a pervasive, boundless media that can wield so much influence, it’s more important than ever to know and be strong in your own self."
Surrounded By Time is co-produced by Ethan Johns and Mark Woodward, and will be Jones' first new studio album since 2015's Long Lost Suitcase. All the tracks on the album are reimagined versions of songs that have had a big impact on Jones' life and career.
