Tobias Jesso Jr announces new single "How Could You Babe" and UK/EU tour plans
L.A.-based troubadour Tobias Jesso Jr has lifted a new cut from upcoming LP Goon - titled "How Could You Babe" - and unveiled a run of UK/EU tour dates.
"How Could You Babe" is a classic piano opus with '60s sensibilities and a whiff of Tom Waits, if he got sober and had a shower. The heartfelt keys whirl around a heady haze of guitars and blues-tang vocals - it's powerful, rife with substance and encrusted with golden pop melody.
Goon sees the hands of Jr White (Girls), Pat Carney (Black Keys), Jonathan Rado (Foxygen), John Collins (New Pornographers) and Ariel Rechtshaid pitch in.
The clip is directed by Grant Singer (Kendrick Lamar, Little Dragon), and the single will feature on Goon, which is released on 16 March through True Panther Sounds.
