Titus Andronicus announce new album The Most Lamentable Tragedy, share lead single "Dimed Out"
New Jersey's Titus Andronicus have announced a new album called The Most Lamentable Tragedy, and shared its lead single "Dimed Out".
The 29-track (29?!) is a "rock opera in five acts", and follows 2012's Local Business. It's their first album on new label Merge.
Speaking to Missoulian last year, frontman Patrick Stickles said that it was set to be a "complicated metaphor about manic depression, melding elements of philosophy, psychology, and science fiction through the plight of one troubled protagonist’s inner demons." He also said that the record would be accompanied by a string of music videos forming one 'film'; there's no word whether that part is still going ahead.
The Most Lamentable Tragedy is out 7 August Merge.
