Tilda Swinton to curate films at ATP Iceland
It’s well known that actress Tilda Swinton has a decent taste in music, her recent starring role in David Bowie’s music video for ‘The Stars (Are Out Tonight)’ proves as much. But still, cinema is her main passion. So it’s pretty exciting that these two things are set to collide, with Swinton curating the film stage at the upcoming ATP festival in Iceland.
As Visir.is report, the star is good friends with director Jim Jarmusch, who had already been recruited to host screenings at the event taking place a former NATO base in Keflavík, Iceland. After meeting at both Cannes film festival and Primavera recently, Swinton decided she wanted to get in on the action.
After approaching the organisers of the event, All Tomorrow’s Parties, it was agreed that Jarmusch would curate one day and Swinton another. This’ll be held at Ásbrú, running from 28-29 June.
Musical acts set to take part at the fest include Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Fall and more. More info on the event can be found here.
