Thurston Moore to sell part of his own vinyl collection to London's World Of Echo store
Sonic Youth legend Thurston Moore is selling part of his own record collection to London's World Of Echo store.
World Of Echo is located on London's picturesque Columbia Road, and opened last year.
The store will host a special event on 5 October where they'll be selling vinyl from Thurston Moore's private collection.
Revealing the news on Instagram, World Of Echo wrote, "Thrilled to announce that on Saturday 5th October we will be selling over 300 records sourced from the private collection of Thurston Moore. As would be expected given Moore's relationship to the underground and lifelong engagement with various music cultures, the selection compromises a broad range of genres, spanning multiple variants of jazz, noise, hardcore, black metal, ethnographic, punk and post-punk, no-wave, krautrock, ambient, electronic and the avant garde. Unsurprisingly, a number of the records are highly collectible or rarely seen."
