Thurston Moore, Sun Ra Arkestra, Richard Dawson, and more confirmed for Stewart Lee's ATP 2.0
ATP 2.0, curated by Stewart Lee, has announced a heap of new names, including Thurston Moore and Richard Dawson.
Roky Erickson performing the music of 13th Floor Elevators, Sun Ra Arkestra, Carlton Melton, The Bellrays, Wolf People, Ex-Easter Island Head, The Wolfhounds, Dave Graney and the mistLY, The Blue Aeroplanes, Alan Wilkinson, and Richard James are also confirmed for the festival.
The comedian and writer said of the event: “Of all the ATPs I've attended, the 2001 weekend, when Tortoise curated it and laid American free jazz, European improv noise, alternative country rock, alienating stand-up comedy, ambient electronica, Eighties hardcore, Seventies CBGBs nostalgia, smart-arse post punk, Dutch anarcho-jazz and all manner of unexpected cross-currents on curious young people, remains a pivotal point in my musical education. It's a great honour to be allowed to attempt something similar. Bring bucket, spade, swimwear and an open mind.”
Tickets for the event are available now.
ATP 2.0 curated by Stewart Lee will take place between 15-17 April 2016 at Pontins in Prestatyn, North Wales.
The new additions join the likes of Sleaford Mods, The Necks, The Heads, Boredoms, Shonen Knife, and many more.
