Thurston Moore plays a birthday party in fan's basement
Thurston Moore recently started new band Chelsea Light Moving, releasing their debut album late last month. And what better a way of celebrating the post-Sonic Youth release than to play a host of intimate shows…
The idea came about when Moore responded to comments on New York blog Brooklyn Vegan, stating that he was ”ready to detonate any birthday party, wedding or hullaboo in any country, planet or stratosphere that doesn’t support right wing extremist NRA sucking bozo-ology.”
He played a first of these shows in Haydenville, Massachusetts this week, performing at a fan’s birthday party in their very own basement.
