Stream This Is The Kit's new album Bashed Out, exclusively on Best Fit
This Is The Kit - AKA the supremely talented Kate Stables - is releasing her new record Bashed Out next week, but you can hear it first on Best Fit.
The Winchester-born multi-instrumentalist enlisted the help of The National’s Aaron Dessner on production duties, as well as a host of other talents for various tracks, including Bryce Dessner (The National), Benjamin Lanz (Beirut), Thomas Bartlett (Doveman, The Gloaming), Rozi Plain and Matt Barrick (The Walkmen).
In our 8/10 review of the record, Associate Editor Andrew Hannah said: "It’s hard to find fault with Bashed Out; timeless and completely modern all at once, Stables might have taken a little bit of time to hit her stride with This Is The Kit but this combination of players has helped her realise a vision of sorts: it’s as lucid a record as you’ll hear all year."
Bashed Out sees release on 6 April via Brassland.
