Third Man Records to host daily livestream performances from Nashville HQ
Jack White's Third Man Records are hosting daily livestream performances from their Blue Room at the Nashville HQ while people are self-isolating due to coronavirus.
The livestream performances have been launched following the coronavirus outbreak to keep artists connected with audiences online.
A statement on their site reads, "Third Man Records has always believed that great things come out of restrictions. Artists being restricted from their audiences though? We’re not sure what greatness can come from that. Third Man has a big empty blue room, cameras, internet access, and TONS of talented friends and family who are out of work, so they're putting this all to use."
Third Man Records add, "Please be assured that they will have fewer than 10 people in the Blue Room (and at TMR HQ in general), and everyone is staying more than six ft apart. Third Man will be including Venmo and Paypal handles for you to tip your entertainers — please give what you can."
The first performance, which streamed yesterday (19 March), came from pedal steel player Luke Schneider. Today's livestream will start at 5pm GMT (12pm CT) with a performance from Teddy and the Rough Riders.
