There's a new Courtney Barnett song on her MTV Unplugged session album
Courtney Barnett's MTV Unplugged session album includes an "Untitled" new track.
Barnett's MTV Unplugged session was recorded on 22 October 2019 in Melbourne.
She performed her own songs including "Depreston", "Sunday Roast", "Avant Gardener", and "Nameless Faceless", and also covered Leonard Cohen, Archie Roach, and Seeker Lover Keeper.
The Australian musician also debuted a new track, which is currently "Untitled".
Barnett covered Cohen's "So Long, Marianne", and brought out Marlon Williams for her cover of Seeker Lover Keeper's "Not Only I", and Paul Kelly to perform Archie Roach's "Charcoal Lane".
Speaking about the session, Barnett says, "I love playing to Melbourne crowds…I wanted to have a mixture of old songs, new songs and covers, and tracks that we don’t perform all the time – it’s been interesting to see the songs through a different filter, and it brings out this other emotional side to the music and the lyrics."
