The Wooden Sky share live video of "Write Them Down" ahead of Birthday' show tonight [Premiere]
Ahead of their show at Birthdays Dalston tonight, The Wooden Sky unveil a live video of their gorgeous track "Write Them Down".
Filmed in gorgeous slow-motion, the visuals more than lend themselves to the song's lilting hulk - all cascading guitars, hearty vocal harmonies and gently rumbling drums.
"It’s either sink or swim when you play live," frontman Gavin Gardiner says of recording the band's new album Let's Be Ready, with a nod to preserving the live spirit of their shows. "You quickly learn which parts work and which parts don't. You learn how to convey your ideas in a way that the audience responds to. When we recorded Let's Be Ready, we really embraced the rawness of that live experience. It was fun to make something that was a bit more ragged."
Catch The Wooden Sky at Birthdays, Dalston tonight. Their final UK dates see them at Sunderland's Independent on 1 October and Manchester's Fred’s Ale House on 2 October. Let's Be Ready is out now via Nevado Records.
