The Weeknd unleashes Max Martin collab "Can't Feel My Face"
R&B superstar The Weeknd has unveiled his latest single, "Can't Feel My Face". It's a collaboration with pop's Midas, Max Martin (Taylor Swift's 1989, among many other things).
The cut leaked, along with a couple of others, a few weeks ago, but it was given its first official airing tonight (8 June) at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). It follows last month's "The Hills" as his next official single, supposedly from his upcoming follow up to Kiss Land.
The track is unlike anything The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, has put out, especially since the release of Kiss Land. The tormented, emotive balladry has been traded in for pop grandeur and verses that rekindle links with Michael Jackson; it's an exciting turn for Tesfaye, and makes the next move a must-see.
"Can't Feel My Face" is out now via XO/Republic.
