The Weeknd teases start of next era with snippet of new song
Earlier today (2 August) The Weeknd decided to start teasing his next chapter by uploading a snippet of a new song.
After revealing last month that his next project is a "full body of work", The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, gave fans a sneak peek of his forthcoming music with a generous, nearly two-minute-long snippet of a new song.
Prior to sharing the preview of the song, The Weeknd wrote on Twitter, "fuck it ... IT STARTS TONIGHT."

He also continued to use the sunrise emoji to hint at the new material, after saying at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards in May that "the dawn is coming".
