The Weeknd sings in Spanish for the first time on remix of Maluma's "Hawái" track
The Weeknd has joined Maluma for a remix of his "Hawái" single, which sees the Canadian artist sing in Spanish for the first time.
"Hawái" originally featured on Maluma's Papi Juancho album that landed in August, and today (5 November) the Colombian singer/songwriter has shared a remix of the track featuring The Weeknd.
The track marks the duo's first collaboration, and sees Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, sing in both English and Spanish, marking the first time he has sung in Spanish on a track.
Maluma says of the collaboration, "I have always admired The Weeknd so it feels nothing short of a dream come true to have him collab on "HAWÁI" Remix - he brought another flow to it and sang in both Spanish and English which is impressive."
"Hawái" marks The Weeknd's first feature on a track since appearing on Oneohtrix Point Never's "No Nightmares" track last month.
