The Weeknd previews new After Hours album with five-minute short film
The Weeknd has shared a five-minute short film to accompany his forthcoming album After Hours.
Last month, The Weeknd, aka Abel Tesfaye, unveiled his new album title-track "After Hours". Today (4 March), he's back with a five-minute short film that cements the album's concept and direction, following on from previous videos.
The short film is directed by "Heartless" and "Blinding Lights" director Anton Tammi, and sees The Weeknd putting on a brave face for a TV show appearance before stumbling around a city in his red suit with a broken nose.
After Hours will be The Weeknd's first album since 2016's Starboy.
The Weeknd hasn't been completely quiet since 2016's Starboy - in 2018 he released his My Dear Melancholy EP, and last year he contributed to the Game of Thrones soundtrack with "Power Is Power" featuring Travis Scott and SZA.
He also made his acting debut in Uncut Gems earlier this year - a Netflix film starring Adam Sandler.
