The Weeknd announces first NFT release featuring new song and limited edition art
The Weeknd has shared more details about his first "NFT drop", which will take place this weekend and features new music alongside limited edition art.
After teasing last Friday (26 March) that he has a "new song living in NFT space. coming soon...", The Weeknd has shared more details about his NFT release.
On Twitter this afternoon (31 March), The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, revealed that his first NFT drop is taking place on Saturday (3 April), and will be auctioned off via Nifty Gateway, the digital art platform that also hosted NFT auctions for Grimes, Boys Noize and Kelsey Lu, and more.
The Weeknd added in his tweet, "The collection will feature new music and limited edition art. I developed the artwork with Strange Loop Studios." Check out the 15-second teaser below.
