The Vaccines’ Justin Young and Timothy Lanham announce debut Halloweens album with two more tracks
Justin Young and Timothy Lanham of The Vaccines have announced their debut album as Halloweens, Morning Kiss At The Acropolis, as well as sharing two more tracks "My Baby Looks Good With Another" and "Rock Bottom Rock".
"My Baby Looks Good With Another" and "Rock Bottom Rock" arrive after last year's debut singles "Hannah, You're Amazing" and "Ur Kinda Man".
Justin Young says of the lead single, ""My Baby Looks Good With Another" is a nod and a wink to the greed and selfishness of the never-contents...of wanting what we didn’t want when we had it - and of wanting what probably isn’t very good for us more than anything else. I’d written down a friend’s instagram caption about jogging to the top of the acropolis in the August sun and had wanted to use the line for ages because I thought it sounded and looked amazing. When we wrote this song of abandonment in the dead of winter, it provided a fine dose of lexical warmth; A song about feeling cold and alone in the height of the European summer."
Young and Lanham first started writing together for The Vaccines' Combat Sports album 2018, and soon travelled to Paris to begin writing for their new project. In March 2019, the duo headed to Oakland to record their debut Halloweens material with Luke Temple (Here We Go Magic, Adrianne Lenker).
