The Tallest Man On Earth shares intimate and raw single "Down In My Heart"
"Down In My Heart" is the fourth track from The Tallest Man On Earth's When The Bird Sees The Solid Ground five video/song series.
Following on from "An Ocean", "Somewhere In The Mountains, Somewhere In New York", and the most recent, "Forever Is A Very Long Time", Kristian Matsson is back with his penultimate offering "Down In My Heart".
"Down In My Heart" sees the singer/songwriter perform his new track in an open-doored barn, before heading into a field where he discusses the guitar melody.
Speaking about the new track, Matsson explains, "I've been trying to figure out what When The Bird Sees Solid Ground is ever since I started it, and I made a little progress with this song. 'Down In My Heart' happened really late one night while I was playing a fingerpicking that I'd made myself learn a few years ago."
Best Fit spoke to Matsson about his When The Bird Sees Solid Ground series, "I needed to change things up and figure out if there was a way shorten the gap in time from the first impulse to write a song, to when people could actually listen to it. To let them just be songs, not the career-defining milestone content that the album cycle had started to feel like, on dark days. I wanted to feel inspired, and by also losing myself in something I didn't know much about; learning about video making and how to DIY that after spending many nights watching tutorials on colour grading and whatnot, feels like I'm having a lot of fun again."
