The Strokes postpone Brooklyn New Year's Eve show due to Omicron
The Strokes have postponed their upcoming New Year's Eve show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center due to a spike in Omicron cases.
Over Christmas, The Strokes made the decision to postpone their New Year's Show at Brooklyn's Barclays Cennter, writing that they "want everyone to stay safe and healthy" due to the spike in Omicron cases.
The Strokes wrote on Instagram, "We were so excited to be performing for everyone in Brooklyn this New Year's Eve, but the Omicron variant has thwarted our plans. We’ve made the decision to postpone our show at Barclays Center. All tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date and details regarding refunds will be offered when the new date is announced."
"We want everyone to stay safe and healthy and we look forward to celebrating the new year with all of you ... just a bit later than originally planned," they added.

This year's show would have marked the group's first New Year’s Eve concert in two years due to the pandemic, and IDLES and Hinds were due to open the concert.
