Their last album Comedown Machine came and went with little fanfare back in 2012, but now The Strokes have just announced their first headline U.S show in over three years.
Following Albert Hammond Jr’s recent solo release and ahead of Julian Casablancas’ album with The Voidz, the New York band will play Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on 31 May. It’ll be used as a warm-up show for their slot at the Governors Ball, which runs in NY from 6-8 June.
Casablancas’ new album is expected later this year.
