The Stone Roses to headline Benicassim 2012
Having parted ways in 1996 The Stone Roses announced their reformation last month with details of two special shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park. Set to take place over the last weekend in June the two dates sold out within an hour of going on sale, with a third show added for 1 July quickly afterwards.
The legendary four-piece stated these shows would form part of an extensive world tour, one which is now beginning to take shape with the announcement that the band will indeed be headlining next year’s Festival Internacional de Benicàssim. The quartet’s return to Benicassim after fifteen years will be their second major festival appearance on this live reunion tour following their headline shows at T In The Park from 6-8 July. They will go on to headline Fuji Rock.
Taking place from 12-15 July 2012 on the East Coast of Spain between Valencia and Barcelona, tickets for the four-day Festival are on sale now. More artists will be announced over the coming months.
