The Smashing Pumpkins detail new double album CYR
The Smashing Pumpkins are back with news of their upcoming 11th studio album CYR.
After returning with new tracks "Cyr" and "The Colour Of Love" last month, The Smashing Pumpkins have announced their new double album, also titled CYR.
Their forthcoming double album will be their 11th studio LP, and follows on from 2018's Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.
Smashing Pumpkins recorded the 20-track album in Chicago. Lead vocalist Billy Corgan produced the album, which is performed by founding members Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin and guitarist Jeff Schroeder.
The band have also unveiled a trailer for an upcoming five-part animation series titled In Ashes. The series was created by Corgan with animation from Deep Sky. The first two episodes will be released next Friday (25 September) alongside new music from their album.
