With Billy Corgan recently embarking on an 8-hour ambient jam session, it looks like the hard work for the Smashing Pumpkins hasn’t stopped there.
Launching a new website, the alt-rock group confirmed details of two new albums expected to drop next year, entitled Monuments to An Elegy and Day for Night.
“Recording sessions begin today,” Corgan says, while the sound of the LP has been described as “think: ‘guitars, guitars, guitars, and more guitars;’ but more so on the epic side of things than say, grossly metallic”.
The album will follow on from 2012′s Oceania.
