The Quietus are putting on three really great shows in London this month
Gum Takes Tooth, Wrangler and PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS and Richard Dawson (pictured above) play a series of Quietus-curated events in the UK capital this month.
Tomorrow night (13 January), mighty psychedelic shamans of noise dance, Gum Takes Tooth stage one of their legendary third eye cleansing hoedowns at the Lexington with the laudable aim of helping The Quietus reach (and celebrate) it's tenth birthday later this year. Support comes from the powerful punk Kraut choogle of Lower Slaughter and acidic occult noise geezer Mighty Lord Deathman (actually Mat Colegate, ex-Teeth Of The Sea and his infernal machines. Tickets are £8 in advance.
Later in the month - on 17 January - synth industrial dance starters Wrangler (featuring Mal f rom Cabaret Voltaire, Phil Winter from Tunng and Benge from John Foxx and The Maths/Meme Tune) take over the Lexington for the evening, roping in some stellar guests to swell their ranks including the mighty Lonelady and Serafina Steer. Tickets are £10 in advance.
Their final event in January sees aeptuple porcine doomnificence from Tyne On Wear and GQ magazine's Hawaiian shirt wearers of the year, PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS hitting the Lexington with the mighty Richard Dawson for support. It's sold out but we're told there will be a handful of tickets on the door.
