Watch: The Proper Ornaments – Who Thought
Centred around the creative partnership between frontman Max Clapps and Veronica Falls‘ guitarist James Hoare, The Proper Ornaments released their debut 7” on San Francisco based label Make A Mess Records last year. Now, having signed to London’s No Pain in Pop Records, the five-piece are set to release their first, self-titled EP. Ahead of its release on 5 December they have revealed a cut from the five-track project in the form of ‘Who Thought’ and its brand new, Nyco Dyszel-directed video.
A blend of bittersweet vocal harmonies, gentle pop melodies, snappy percussion and dreamy pyschadelica ‘Who Thought’ marks the last release of the year for No Pain in Pop, who will be celebrating The Proper Ornaments EP at The Shacklewell Arms this Friday (2 December) with Echo Lake and A Grave With No Name supporting.
