The Prince Estate reveal first three titles from catalogue set for physical release
Musicology, 3121, and Planet Earth will be the first three titles to be re-released as part of the ultimate Prince catalogue put together by The Prince Estate and Legacy Recordings.
The first three Prince records to be chosen for re-release honour an important, and creative three years of Prince's immense career.
He picked up two Grammy Awards for Musicology, and gained his first number one since 1989's Batman for his 3121 record.
Prince released Planet Earth as a free release in the UK with The Mail on Sunday, resulting in 21 sold out shows at London's O2 Arena.
For the first time Musicology, 3121, and Planet Earth will be available on vinyl.
Back in August The Prince Estate made 23 Prince titles available digitally for the first time, many of them rare, or extremely hard to find.
The albums announced for physical release today are accompanied by exclusive merchandise relating to each album era.
