The Parrots stream The Almighty Defenders cover "All My Loving" exclusively on Best Fit
Spanish rock-pop trio The Parrots are streaming their cover of The Almighty Defenders' "All My Loving", taken from their Record Store Day split disc with Hinds, exclusively on Best Fit.
We've already heard Hinds' contribution, a shambling, jangly version of Thee Headcoats "Davey Crockett". The Parrots' track is bewitchingly chaotic, stuffed with yowls, bluesy riffs and garage-gospel charm.
The band's guitarist and lead singer Diego García says of the track: “Since we started the band, Black Lips, King Khan and bbq rockhave been a major influence in our life and music. The message in the album that they made together under the name of The Almighty Defenders sums up what we consider is important in the world we live now... LOVE. This is why we play this song at the end of every show and why we recorded it. MUCHO AMOR FROM THE PARROTS.”
The split 7" is released on 18 April (Record Store Day; strictly limited to 750 copies) by Lucky Number in the UK and Burger Records in the USA.
The Parrots will also release a new EP this June on Luv Luv Luv Records which will feature their Almighty Defenders cover.
Additionally, García has recently been confirmed as the producer for Hinds' hotly-anticipated debut album.
