The Parrots return with hazy summer track "Girl"
Madrid's fuzzy garage group The Parrots have been on the down-low since their fantastic debut album Los Niños Sin Miedo. New track "Girl" marks their highly anticipated return.
"Aside from festival announcements and their fuzzy cover of Bad Bunny's "Soy Peor", The Parrots have been locked away working on their second album.
Drenched in hazy, UV garage-pop, new track "Girl" sees the Spanish group delve further into their gritty, yet playful sound.
Recorded in the Spanish city of Cádiz, The Horrors' Tom Furse joined the group to produce their new offering.
"For us this is a very special song, after years working in the same way, we decided to take a bold step and took Tom Furse on board. His views and advice while producing our next songs made us take a leap to the next level, and open our minds to new creative visions," explain The Parrots.
Producer Tom Furse added, ""Girl" is a perfectly formed piece of sun tinged garage pop that shows The Parrots have both attitude and songwriting chops to spare - the only challenge was not messing around with it too much."
