The Orwells disband following sexual abuse allegations
The Orwells announced they have broken up after multiple accounts of sexual abuse allegations appeared online.
Last weekend multiple accounts accusing sexual abuse from Mario Cuomo, Henry Brinner, and Grant Brinner of The Orwells surfaced on a Reddit thread.
In response to the allegations, The Orwells issued a statement denying the accounts, "We emphatically deny these baseless allegations brought as a personal attack against us."
Further into the statement, it says, "No member of this band has ever acted without consent or maliciously taken advantage of anyone."
Their Twitter revealed yesterday (29 August) that the band has since disbanded, without explanation.
