The Obamas, Lady Gaga, BTS and more to take part in YouTube virtual graduation ceremony
The YouTube virtual graduation ceremony taking place next month will feature appearances from the Obamas, Lady Gaga, BTS, and many more.
YouTube's Dear Class of 2020 special event will see the Obamas give individual commencement speeches, and other commencement speakers for the event include BTS, Lady Gaga, and others.
I’ve always loved joining commencements––the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice. Even if we can’t get together in person this year, Michelle and I are excited to celebrate the nationwide Class of 2020 and recognize this milestone with you and your loved ones. pic.twitter.com/ngR2ykx3A2

Variety reports that the event will also host special appearances from the likes of Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Chloe x Halle, Zendaya, and more.
The global head of content for YouTube, Susanne Daniels, says of the graduation ceremony, "Graduation is a tradition that students and families look forward to and with the current state of the world, YouTube is lending some inspiration in the form of a virtual commencement. We hope bringing together noteworthy, influential speakers along with performances from some of their favorite artists will provide encouragement for the students who have worked so hard to get here."
