The Notorious Honeyblood unveil "Choker" video
Honeyblood dial H for Hitchcock in the new video for latest track "Choker".
The Scottish two-piece have undergone a period of tumult, with original sticks-wielder Shona McVicar departing. However, that's not Sabotage-d these Young and Innocent musicians.
Part of the directorial team, Julian Tardo, said:
"Stina told me that the song was inspired by Angela Carter's 'The Bloody Chamber', and I loved how Carter reinvented old tales, throwing all sorts of odd new contexts against these classic narratives. So I wanted to house Stina's reinterpretation of Bluebeard within yet another layer of context - so I suppose it's Bluebeard through the Bloody Chamber through film noir. I like layering these ideas over and over - I think the essence of human reaction becomes ever starker as you bury it in these layers."
The duo are set to embark on the NME Radar tour as headliners; let's hope they don't get Stage Fright and instead whip the crowds into a Frenzy.
