The National to appear in The Mindy Project
Matt Berninger and co, The National have announced that they’ll appear on the new season of FOX comedy series, The Mindy Project.
The Brooklyn band will feature in an upcoming episode of the show, fronted by former The Office actress Mindy Kaling. They’ll play themselves, headlining a fictional music festival.
“I’m a big fan of the show,” said Berninger. “In interviews, they would ask me what I’d been reading lately and I kept saying ‘The Mindy Project’ because I watch more TV than I read… We became really big fans of the show, so they invited us on.”
The group will also perform an acoustic version of ‘This Is the Last Time’ in the episode, airing on 1 October. Watch a trailer for that beneath:
