The music industry pays tribute to Her's
The music industry has paid tribute to Liverpudlian duo Her's and their tour managed who died in a car accident while on tour in the US last night.
Two weeks ago they stormed Austin's SXSW for Best Fit's first showcase at the festival, and went on to tour their second album, Invitation To Her's, around North America.
Stephen Fitzpatrick, Audun Laading, and their tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson died while travelling to a gig in Santa Ana, California on Wednesday (27 March) from Arizona.
The band's label, Heist Or Hit, revealed the news in a statement posted to Facebook, where they wrote, "Their energy, vibrancy and talent came to define our label. As humans, they were warm, gentle and hilarious. Each time they stopped by the office made for an uplifting experience. To say they were close would be an underestimation of a friendship that was genuinely beautiful to witness; they loved one another like brothers."
The music industry has reacted to the news on socials, revealing fond memories of the duo and their energy.
Absolutely gutted and heartbroken to hear the news about Her's. Our thoughts go out to their family and loved ones at this time. They were truly wonderful people that always bought a smile to our faces whenever we ran into them. Shocked is an understatement x

I remember listening to Her’s for the first time and feeling like I’d taken a time warp to a 1950’s dance!

They were a rare thing - always having fun, never taking themselves too seriously, not the slightest bit cynical or careerist.
And they made some fantastic records everyone should go back to.https://t.co/dLcbsYrrkS
We're devastated to hear the news about Her's

A joyous, unique talent we were lucky enough to host last year. They went above and beyond to meet, take pictures and party with anyone who wanted to
Rest easy Stephen, Audun and Trevor

Her’s were consistently one of the kindest, most accommodating and funniest bands we worked with at DIY over the past few years. Unimaginably horrible news.

Extremely sad to hear about Her’s. We had the pleasure of sharing a couple of festival stages last year, they were the highlight of the day both times. Devastated to lose them and the amazing potential they had. Thinking of them and their manager today xx
