Massively prolific folk-rock outfit, The Mountain Goats are set to re-release 2002 LP All Hail West Texas.
The record, originally released on Emperor Jones, will see a vinyl reissue via Merge on 23 July. It’s most notable as being John Darnielle’s last lo-fi “solo” record of sorts before he expanded both his line-up and sound for follow-up Tallahassee.
Meanwhile, frontman Darnielle recently offered up the perfect retort to post-Daft Punk new album naysayers:
“So I listened to this Daft Punk album once while browsing the web. I will now unveil my critique” –the Internet, 5/13/13
