The Mountain Goats share new track "Picture of My Dress"
The Mountain Goats have released their breezy new song "Picture of My Dress" as the third single to be lifted from their Getting Into Knives album.
"Picture of My Dress" lands after earlier outings "Get Famous" and "As Many Candles As Possible".
Lead vocalist John Darnielle describes the new song as "a pop-country song that’s still identifiably the Mountain Goats, universally relatable but still a little cracked."
Getting Into Knives was recorded at Sam Phillips Recording studio in Memphis with producer Matt Ross-Spang, who engineered their 2019 LP In League with Dragons.
The band's new album will be their first since releasing their Songs for Pierre Chuvin album on Bandcamp in April, which Darnielle recorded by himself on his boombox.
