The Mountain Goats preview new album with second single "Get Famous"
The Mountain Goats have released their soulful new track "Get Famous" as a second taster of their upcoming album Getting Into Knives.
"Get Famous" is the second track to be shared from Getting Into Knives, after last month's lead single "As Many Candles As Possible".
Lead vocalist John Darnielle says of their new release, "If I told you all how much fun we had making this one you wouldn’t even believe me, but we hope it comes through."
Getting Into Knives was recorded at Sam Phillips Recording studio in Memphis with producer Matt Ross-Spang, who engineered their 2019 LP In League with Dragons.
The band's new album will be their first since releasing their Songs for Pierre Chuvin album on Bandcamp in April, which Darnielle recorded by himself on his boombox.
