The Morning Benders release benefit EP for Japan, ft. Star Slinger, Twin Sister and Wild Nothing remixes
All has been quiet on The Morning Benders front since the California born, New York based quintet released last summer’s impressive Big Echo LP through Rough Trade. They return today with a special digital EP of previously unreleased material in which 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Japan Society’s Eathquake Relief Fund.
Lead singer Chris Chu says of the project, titled Japan Echo EP or 日本・エコー,”I was born in Japan, and although I only lived there for a couple of years, I’ve always had a deep love for the country and its people. I cannot express how sad and helpless I’ve felt reading about everything that is happening there right now…. we wanted to do everything we could to help”.
Featuring two unreleased songs ‘Better In Blue’ and ‘Little Riot’, the EP also contains remixes by Wild Nothing, Twin Sister and Star Slinger. Do the right thing and donate what you can via The Morning Benders website.
